Women’s Weekend in Chicago, IL

That was an incredible women's weekend in my hometown, Chicago, from June 13th to 15th, 2025! As your local host, I was so excited to share some of the best of the city with you, from its iconic landmarks to its amazing food and vibrant neighborhoods.

We made the Hilton Suites on the Magnificent Mile our home base. It was the perfect all-suite hotel, right in the heart of the action!

After everyone arrived, we kicked things off right at the hotel with a Meet and Greet in the lounge around 4:30 PM. It was great to connect before we headed out for our first group meal. For dinner, we traveled north to the Ravenswood neighborhood and enjoyed a fantastic dinner at Farm Bar. It was the perfect cozy Chicago spot to officially start the weekend!

The next day was dedicated to seeing and doing it all! We started the morning with an optional Michigan Avenue Walking Tour. We strolled down the famous Magnificent Mile, admiring skyscrapers like the John Hancock Center and historic spots like the Water Tower. The walk ended in a coffee lover's dream at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery, the largest one in the world, where we grabbed a specialty coffee and took a much-needed break.

Next up was the ultimate Chicago activity: an Architecture River Cruise! For 90 minutes, we sat back and cruised the Chicago River, getting incredible views and learning the fascinating stories behind the city's world-famous skyline. It was truly a highlight! As the sun began to set, we headed north of downtown to the Andersonville neighborhood for the lively Midsommarfest. This beloved street festival was a total blast—a vibrant mix of live music, unique local vendors, and amazing street food. We spent the evening soaking up the fun, festive atmosphere and enjoying the community spirit.

After a weekend full of walking, sightseeing, and great food, we had a leisurely final morning before everyone departed at their convenience.

It was an unforgettable weekend, and I'm so happy I got to share my hometown with all of you!

Our Past Trips - Croatia Adventure

Croatia Adventure

October 4 - 12, 2025

Wow, what an incredible journey through Croatia with G Adventures! Our group just wrapped up an unforgettable trip exploring this stunning country, and we're already dreaming of going back!

We started our adventure in the vibrant capital city of Zagreb, soaking in its Austro-Hungarian architecture and lively cafe culture. From there, we ventured to the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes National Park, where we were mesmerized by the cascading waterfalls and emerald green lakes. Truly a natural wonder! Krka National Park also stole our hearts with its beautiful falls and the chance to swim beneath some of them – an experience we won't soon forget.

Our journey continued south to the ancient city of Zadar, famous for its Roman ruins and the incredible Sea Organ, which plays music using the waves! Next, we explored Šibenik, a charming city with a magnificent cathedral and a rich history. We even got to visit the serene islands of Zlarin and Prvić, experiencing authentic island life and enjoying the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea. The picturesque coastal town of Makarska offered stunning views of the Biokovo mountains meeting the sea, and for some of our thrill-seekers, the absolute highlight was venturing onto the incredible Biokovo Glass Skywalk for a breathtaking walk above the clouds!

Then it was on to Split, where we stepped back in time exploring the ancient Diocletian's Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site that's still a living, bustling part of the city. Finally, our grand Croatian adventure concluded in the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik! Walking the ancient city walls and marveling at the historic architecture was a truly spectacular end to our trip. Every stop offered something unique and special, making this G Adventures trip an absolute dream. We've made memories to last a lifetime and can't recommend Croatia enough!
